Israeli forces murdered a three-year-old Palestinian boy on Monday morning, when gunboats shelled tents that sheltered displaced families in southern Gaza – once again flagrantly violating an already fragile ‘ceasefire’.
Iyad Ahmed Naeem al-Raba’i, was killed when Israeli gunboats deliberately targeted Al-Mawasi, a coastal area near Khan Younis that houses tens of thousands of displaced Palestinians in densely packed camps. Branded cynically by Israel as a “humanitarian safe zone,” Al-Mawasi has instead been reduced to a repeated target of attacks, exposing civilians to systematic violence with total impunity.

Since October, Israel has shattered the ceasefire more than 1,000 times, killing hundreds of civilians, blocking life-saving aid, and maintaining control over more than half of Gaza. This attack occurred far outside Israeli-designated military zones, highlighting the calculated brutality of a military campaign that treats Palestinian children as legitimate targets.
